Giving up the Ghost

Monday's session of gaming saw Andy, Robin, Tony and myself (Geoff) take on the hordes of Chinese undead in the fantastic Ghost Stories.

The basic premise of the game is that an unfortunate village in China is under attack from a whole load of nasty undead minions, lead by a particularly nasty ghost (selected at random) and all that stands between them and the the total destruction of the village are four monks (or ninjas, as we called them [yes, I know, it's China not Japan]).

Anyway, things seemed to be going well. At no point were we overwhelmed by the undead, I don't recall us going into a panic, and yet right at the end, when the ghost was revealed, it turned out to be (in my opinion) the hardest ghost in the game. To defeat this spectre, we needed to roll 3 blues (the odds of this are 226/1) in just 3 turns.

Needless to say, we failed at the last hurdle and were defeated by the ghost...
